I walked into this place scared, sad and alone – longing for the comfort of what used to be Home. The ladies that work here smiled and looked at me…they said hi and welcome…coffee or tea.No judgement in their eyes, only compassion and care.No strange looks or questions not even a stare.I sat down to paint my heart heavy with pain, then art class was over, they said please come again.Since then I’ve found a new family in the people whom are here. You’re not alone they say. You have nothing to fear.I’ve told them my story…and shed a few tears…now this place is Home and I’ll cherish it for years.Thank-you to all the staff and volunteers from Salvation Army for all your help and time. All My Love, Leah
